DESCRIPTION: An ABCD Approach to Orientation and Wayfinding in Places\, Spa
 ces\, and Journeys \n\n A 4-hour workshop on understanding how humans find
  their way through places and information and how design can practically i
 nfluence those experiences. Using a 4-part ABCD framework\, this workshop 
 is open to all levels of participants to explore how to plan and enhance h
 uman-centred wayfinding through: \n\n \n Physical places \n Digital spaces
  \n Project journeys \n \n\n The workshop uses a podcast and Zoom format t
 o identify which wayfinding problem you want to study now and then bring y
 ou together with other participants with similar contextual issues to talk
 \, listen\, and share. The framework provides a foundation\, but it is the
  time we spend together that helps build usable solutions. \n\n \n\n About
  workshop logistics \n\n Prior to the workshop\, attendees will have acces
 s to workshop podcasts and materials on a private platform called Vito\, a
  privacy-focused communtiy platform. \n\n The workshop will take place on 
 Zoom. It spans across 4 hours and will include time for breaks and interac
 tive group sessions.  \n\n About the workshop facilitator \n\n Alastair So
 merville is a sensory design consultant. He provides expert advice on cogn
 ition and person-centred design to companies and public organisations who 
 provide both physical and digital products or services. He facilitates wor
 kshops on sensory and emotional design for major conferences and corporati
 ons. \n
