DESCRIPTION: Title: Current Developments in Workforce Analytics \n\n Abstra
ct: The session will contrast work force analytics (WFA) with traditional
HR or people analytics. WFA focuses on the entire workforce\, emphasizing
that certain “A positions” disproportionately drive value creation. As
organisations grapple with cultural complexities\, diverse markets\, and
evolving regulations\, WFA transcends conventional data accumulation and r
eporting. The ACAI model (Ask\, Collect\, Analyze\, Influence) grounds WFA
in strategic inquiry\, data relevance\, rigorous analysis\, and evidence-
based decision-making. This holistic\, iterative approach transforms WFA f
rom a static toolkit into a dynamic capability that enables firms to antic
ipate challenges\, leverage innovation\, and sustain competitive advantage
in a complex global landscape. He will also reflect on the interface betw
een academic research and practice and how to maximise the impact of acade
mic research. \n\n Bio: Dr. Mark Huselid is the Distinguished Professor of
