t studies \n\n Abstract: The Managerial and Organizational Cognition (MOC)
Distinguished Scholar Award of the Academy of Management\, established in
2002\, recognizes senior scholars in the MOC field who have made exceptio
nal contributions to understanding individual\, relational\, and collectiv
e cognition in organizational contexts throughout their careers. To be eli
gible for the award\, an individual must first be a truly distinguished sc

journals. Second\, he or she must have contributed to the field through se
rvice by holding a leadership position with the MOC division or the Academ

 minar\, the 2024 recipient of this award\, Gerard P Hodgkinson\, will offe
r his scholarly and personal reflections on the past\, present and future
of the field of business and management studies\, broadly conceived. Drawi

hought-provoking conversation about issues that (should) matter to us all.
