 Networking \n 9:00pm - Close \n \n\n 🎤 Speakers \n\n Building an interv
iew process from scratch \n\n by Christine Gerpheide \n\n Crafting intervi
ews is hard. How many interviews do you do? Do you do live coding? Are que
stions the same each time?\nEspecially in small companies\, the interview
process can be informal\, inconsistent\, and -- worse -- ineffective at ge
tting offers to the right people. Chris will describe how Bespoke revamped
their interview process to optimize for efficiency and happiness\, helpin
g them grow their engineering team from 6 engineers to 15 in the first hal
f of 2019. Furthermore\, she'll share a general methodology that can be ap
plied at any company wishing to redesign their interview process\, customi
zed for their company values.\nThis talk is suitable for any hiring manage
r or individual with influence over the hiring process\, especially for te
chnical teams. \n\n "Let's measure success!"\, and similar lies \n\n by To
m Nijhuis \n\n This is a talk borne from experiences of the many ways that
Key Performance Indicators can go wrong. We will try to answer what 'key'
means\, what 'performance' means\, and when something actually can be con
sidered an 'indicator'. We'll look at amusing incentives\, try to separate
signals from the noise\, and once and for all understand the difference b
etween accuracy and precision. \n\n 🗣Call for speakers! \n\n We're acce
pting talk proposals! If you're interested in speaking at one of our futur
 e meetups\, apply here:\nhttps://forms.gle/XxuNUsFFkhdXfjCVA. \n\n 🌟 Ab
out The Lead Developer \n\n The Lead Developer is an international series
of conferences and meetups for technical leaders in London\, Berlin\, Aust
in\, New York\, San Francisco and Tokyo. Check out more than 150+ talk vi
deos here on leading and scaling technical teams\, building an inclusive c
