  Their setup is ultra minimal: 1 guitar\, 1 pedal\, 1 amp. Everything is f
 ocused on the gesture and the sound research of the instrument: its resona
 nces\, limits\, expansions\, impurities\, all the audible parts of the gui
 tar: to go with or against it\, to contain it or to let it go\, to support
  it or to hurt it. You’ll probably find: feedback\, crackling\, short ci
 rcuits\, impacts\, harmonics\, grindings noises\, overflowings\, notes and
  an almost perfect chord. \n\n Nina Garcia has been actively moving the ar
 t of noise guitar into surprising and intriguing new spaces. She has been 
 at it for some time now\, a bit of a secret weapon all the while hiding in
  plain sight. As I listen to her music and ruminate upon seeing her perfor
 m it brings me to a realization which I have with very few musicians: the 
 ego inherent in making art can be transcended through a purity of direct a
 ction. At least that’s the feeling I have when experiencing Nina’s mus
 ic which comes across as serious and radical and wholly engaged in the mom
 ent of its creative impulse. With Bye Bye Bird she delivers her most exalt
 ed and sublime collection of recordings for all adventurous hearts to hear
