 earch Technician at the UW’s Jansky Lab at 525 Walnut Street in Madison.
  The Jansky lab is engaged in a project to breed a better potato. The main
  emphasis of the breeding program is to do germ plasma enhancement utilizi
 ng the 100 wild potato species that exist\, giving the common potato disea
 se and pest resistance\, as well as other quality characteristics. The obj
 ective is to produce a potato that we will one day eat that relies less on
  inputs to grow. We will meet for dinner at the Great Dane at Hilldale at 
 6pm and then proceed to the greenhouses for a tour around 7pm. \n\n The co
 st of this event is $25. Payment is accepted via the online payment method
 s shown below or by cash at the door. \n
