DESCRIPTION: To celebrate  Dublin Startup Week\, we are hosting a special e
 dition of the 1st Friday Brekkie! \n\n The event will take place on Friday
  23rd November 2018 from 8:00am to 10:00am in the Civic Offices\, Wood Qua
 y\, Dublin 8. \n\n We are delighted to be joined by John Collins from Inte
 rcom in a fireside chat\, moderated by Paul Hayes from Beachhut PR. \n\n J
 ohn - Bio \n\n John is the Director of Content at Intercom\, the customer 
 platform helping internet businesses accelerate growth. Founded in 2011\, 
 Intercom now has 25\,000+ paying customers globally\, has raised $241m in 
 funding\, and has over 450 staff at offices in Dublin\, San Francisco\, Lo
 ndon\, Chicago and Sydney.  John is a former journalist and editor with ov
 er 20 years experience covering technology and business for publications i
 ncluding The Irish Times\, where he held positions including Assistant Bus
 iness Editor\, Assistant News Editor and Health Editor. He now leads a tea
 m of 10 who produce Intercom’s award-winning blog\, podcast\, books and 
 social media.  \n\n Paul - Bio \n\n At Beachhut PR\, Paul drives strategy 
 for a wide variety of tech clients in multiple verticals and geographies. 
 He is known as one of the best connectors in the Irish tech ecosystem and 
 has mentored over 150 startups through Launchpad\, DCU Ryan Academy and th
 e Lucey Fund. Paul has extensive experience in technology communications a
 nd notably developed the messaging for early Irish tech success stories su
 ch as Havok and Demonware. An accomplished host of many technology events 
 in Ireland and abroad\, he has delivered innovative marketing strategies a
 t international trade shows such as GDC and SxSW. He was a founder of Game
 s Ireland. Originally from Thurles\, Paul has lately developed a passion f
 or cycling and does Paris-Nice to support local paralympian\, Peter Ryan.
