DESCRIPTION: The RubyConf 2017 5K will be a fun run for Ruby Friends who li
ke to get a little exercise together during the conference! While we take
fitness seriously\, we would like to emphasize that this is a casual event
\, not an official 5K race for which we're reserving space from the city.
\n\n We're meeting at the Canal Street Station by the corner of Canal &am
p\; Badine\, mere steps from the conference venue/hotel. Here's the route
we'll be running! \n\n In that spirit\, we will be splitting our 5K partic
ipants up into two smaller groups: \n\n \n RUNNERS: A faster run-only gro
up that will start their run at 7:00am sharp \n RUNNERS/WALKERS: A more
laid-back group of runners and walkers who will start once the first group
is done. We would ask those in this group to be at the start point and be
  ready by 7:20am. \n \n\n Please self-select your group by registering f
or the correct ticket below. \n\n Times will be recorded and shared with p
articipants before the conference ends. Snacks\, water\, and an identifyin
g label will be provided to you at the start/end\, but no t-shirts or race
  bibs. \n
