DESCRIPTION: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a conversation style used in
  helping professions to help clients identify their own intrinsic motivati
 on for change. This 2 day introductory workshop will provide participants 
 an in-depth overview of the theory\, principles\, and skills of MI. Learni
 ng activities will include: demonstrations\, videotape examples\, “real-
 plays”\, small group exercises\, and significant participant practice an
 d opportunities to receive feedback. \n\n Attendees also receive one (1) f
 ree work sample submission to be coded using the Motivational Interviewing
  Treatment Integrity Tool (MITI) 4.2.1. After the sample is submitted ther
 e will be an individualized coaching and feedback call to review the work 
 sample. The submission is nontransferable. \n
