DESCRIPTION: This free workshop is for anyone who wants to be part of setti
 ng up a community-run Repair Cafe for Lisburn. In this initial session\, w
 e will introduce what a repair cafe is\, how they work and the different r
 oles and volunteering opportunities. Together\, we'll start to map out how
  to establish a community repair group to run regular events in Lisburn an
 d agree next steps. Follow up workshops will be held for those who want to
  get more involved.  \n\n The session is perfect for anyone who would like
  to meet others interested in forming a repair cafe\, who want to find out
  more about what's involved and who's excited to help make it happen!  \n\
 n Repair Cafe NI supports and connects 15 volunteer-powered\, community-ro
 oted repair groups across Northern Ireland. Through their development prog
 ramme\, they have a wealth of experience of helping groups form\, understa
 nd the different elements of building a successful and sustainable repair 
 cafe and navigating practical issues such as finding volunteers\, health a
 nd safety\, what to bring and getting the word out. Marcella and Chris wil
 l guide the newly-forming Lisburn group through the process\, and be there
  to support every step of the way.  \n\n   \n
