DESCRIPTION: On the morning of Tuesday\, 24th June 2025 at the Alex Hotel\,
  Dublin\, Pobal\, in partnership with the Department of the Environment\, 
 Climate and Communications will be hosting a climate conference to formall
 y launch our new research project: ‘Understanding how inclusive communit
 y-based climate action can be scaled up: A Process Evaluation of the Commu
 nity Climate Action Programme Strand 2’ authored by independant research
  consultant\, Rachel Mulqueen. \n\n  \nAnna Shakespeare\, CEO of Pobal wil
 l host a discussion with a panel of experts and community climate action i
 mplementers to explore the findings of the report. The panel will include:
  \n\n \n Ali Sheridan\, Chair of the Just Transition Commission \n Seán M
 cCabe\, The Spark Project in Bohemian Football Club \n Aoife Hammond\, Hom
 eWorks Project Common Knowledge &amp\; the National LGBT Federation \n Jen
 nie Stephens\, Professor of Climate Justice\, Maynooth University \n \n\n 
  \nFinally\, the morning will also showcase the pilots\, supports\, toolki
 ts\, trainings\, know-how and approaches that were developed collaborative
 ly with target groups for social inclusion\, and which will assist communi
 ties take meaningful action on climate change. Participants will have the 
 opportunity to meet with and learn about the 19 projects. \n\n  \nIt is ho
 ped that this event will support the wide dissemination and enhanced reach
  of these learning outputs\, most of which are now ready for use by commun
 ities around Ireland! So if you are a community group who wishes to take a
 ction on climate change or have a role in supporting community groups deli
 ver climate action in your area - this event is for you! \n\n  \nTea and C
 offee will be provided on arrival and lunch afterwards. \n
