DESCRIPTION: The next State of the Map US conference is headed to the South
 west! Dive deep on the intersection of open mapping and cities\, community
  mapping around the world\, routing and transportation\, autonomous vehicl
 es\, and more. This will be our 10th year of State of the Map US and we ar
 e excited to celebrate with you! \n\n The Heart of the Southwest \n\n From
  rock climbing to cycling\, golfing and outdoor dining\, Tucson knows how 
 to take advantage of the nearly year-round sunshine. April in Tucson will 
 bring 80 degree weather - perfect for getting outside to map and mingle wi
 th the OSM community. In addition to its fantastic climate\, Tucson has a 
 vibrant cultural and artistic community that is steeped in the history and
  traditions of Mexico and the Indigenous people whose land was divided int
 o modern day Arizona &amp\; Mexico. \n\n State of the Map US will be hoste
 d by the University of Arizona\, a diverse community of students\, researc
 hers and residents who care passionately about the people and places of so
 uthern Arizona and OpenStreetMap. There will be a welcome social Thursday 
 evening\, two days of talks on April 1st and 2nd\, and other activities on
  the 3rd. \n\n Health Protocols \n\n We want everyone to have a safe and e
 njoyable conference\, and highly recommend COVID-19 vaccination or a negat
 ive test before attending State of the Map US. We will follow any Universi
 ty of Arizona protocols that are in effect at the time which can be follow
 ed closely on this site. We will take social distancing measures\, provide
  outdoor spaces\, provide indoor face coverings\, and host both the Friday
  and Saturday social events at outside venues. \n\n Tickets \n\n All ticke
 t prices include breakfast and lunch during the conference\, a t-shirt\, a
 nd light fare at social events. If you register after March 14 we cannot g
 uarantee your preferred t-shirt size. \n
