DESCRIPTION: Digital Commons are among the core assets to pursue Europe’s
  Digital Sovereignty. Several initiatives and calls for actions are gainin
 g traction\, striving to bring real benefits to individuals and organisati
 ons by ensuring open\, inclusive and decentralised access to digital resou
 rces in line with the core principles and action of the Next Generation In
 ternet (NGI) Initiative. However\, in order to ensure that such approaches
  can grow and become viable alternatives over the current concentration of
  Internet resources\, it is crucial to pull resources. Therefore\, policym
 akers\, regulators\, public authorities and all other relevant players in 
 the internet arena must converge to define collaboration policies and targ
 eted institutional and financial plans to guarantee interoperability and c
 ommunity governance. \n\n The main objectives of the webinar: \n\n \n Disc
 uss priorities for Europe to support an open\, free\, global\, interoperab
 le\, reliable\, and secure Internet. \n Explore the latest evolution of Di
 gital Commons initiatives and relevant European policy-driven efforts. \n 
 Discuss the role of the Next Generation Internet initiative as a way to fo
 ster Digital Commons and European Digital Sovereignty. \n Increase collabo
 ration among all European players at work on Digital Commons. \n \n\n The 
 webinar will be moderated by Dr Monique Calisti\, CEO Martel Innovate\, Di
 rector NGI Outreach Office. \n\n The webinar will take place on 31 January
