DESCRIPTION: Join us for this 3/4 day session on using and processing satel
 lite imagery in QGIS\, led by Grant Boxer and John Bryant. \n\n The worksh
 op \n\n This short course is designed for those who would like to learn ab
 out sources of free\, high-quality satellite data for mineral exploration 
 and other earth observation activities. A brief overview will be given of 
 the various satellite data sets available. \n\n Participants will learn ho
 w to source\, download\, and process ASTER\, Landsat\, and Sentinel 2 imag
 ery and produce RGB images of various spectral bands to enhance features o
 f interest. \n\n We'll explore using this data in various workflows\, cove
 ring image processing\, band ratioing\, basic mineral mapping and PCA anal
 ysis for enhancing geological and other surface features. \n\n Who should 
 attend \n\n Geologists\, geophysicists\, earth scientists\, environmental 
 scientists\, anyone monitoring earth surface processes. \n\n Certification
  \n\n Mammoth Geospatial is an official QGIS Certifying Organisation. Part
