 ampionships are open to children living in Lothians and the Borders. \n\n 
 As well as the full day events\, Lothian Junior Chess are also running an 
 experimental 'Taster Tournament'.  This will be a miniature version of the
  main event\,  with just three rounds of games from 1pm.  This is targeted
  at younger children who have never played in a tournament before and who 
 feel that to start straight into a six round event might be too big a firs
 t step\, or whose parents might find it difficult to be tied up for the wh
 ole day.  \n\n For everyone else - the event starts at 9:15am\, with prize
  giving ending around 4:30pm. \n\n For this event we are using online entr
 ies - this should ease congestion at the registration desk. You need to se
 lect your tickets\, enter your payment details to pay and then provide inf
 ormation about the child (or children!) that you have entered. \n\n Late e
 ntries (after 11pm on Monday the 16th of January) is £10. \n\n Chess Scot
 land members can claim a £1 discount\, by using the code discount CSM \n\
 n Children who receive free school meals receive free entry\, by using the
