DESCRIPTION: This season\, the Edinburgh Junior Congress will be a qualifie
 r for Scotland's national Junior Chess Competition - Chess for Kicks.  \n\
 n The competitions are split by grading and age. \n\n You can find your ch
 ild's grade via the Chess Scotland website \n\n As well as the full day ev
 ents\, Lothian Junior Chess are also running a 'Taster Tournament'.  This 
 will be a miniature version of the main event\,  with just three rounds of
  games from 1pm.  This is targeted at younger children who have never play
 ed in a full tournament (you are welcome to come back if you've played our
  previous taster day event) before and who feel that to start straight int
 o a six round event might be too big a first step. \n\n For everyone else 
 - the event starts at 9:15am\, with prize giving ending around 4:30pm. \n\
 n For this event we are using online entries - this should ease congestion
  at the registration desk. You need to select your tickets\, enter your pa
 yment details to pay and then provide information about the child (or chil
 dren!) that you have entered. \n\n Early bird entry fee is £8\nLate entri
 es (after 11pm on Monday the 2nd of October) is £10. \n\n Chess Scotland 
 members can claim a £1 discount\, by using the code discount CSM - this d
 iscount cannot be used with late entries. \n\n Children who receive free s
 chool meals for income reasons\, receive free entry\, by using the discoun
