DESCRIPTION: InDiCo-Global Webinar Series \n\n Latin America\, and especial
ly Chile\, has been experiencing recent regulatory developments\nin the fi
eld of technology. These changes are particularly significant in areas suc
 h as data\nprotection\, cybersecurity\, the digital economy\, and artifici
al intelligence\, and are largely\ninspired by and aligned with European f
rameworks. As a result\, ICT standards have\nbecome increasingly relevant
both in Chile and across the region. \n\n While regulation is important\,
it is equally necessary to create spaces for connection among\nvarious sta
keholders\, including private and public entities\, academia\, and decisio
n-makers.\nThis is essential to ensure that the implementation of such reg
ulations is harmonious. Thus\,\nit is crucial to support these kinds of re
gulatory and technological standardization\ndialogues. \n\n In this contex
t\, the Law\, Science and Technology Program at the Pontificia Universidad
\nCatólica de Chile\, in collaboration and with the support of the EU ini
tiative InDiCo-Global\,\nseeks to promote knowledge exchange between Europ
ean experts and local actors.\nIn this session\, members of the team will
address: \n\n \n Recent technological regulations in Chile\, with a specia
l focus on data protection\nand cybersecurity. \n How voluntary standards
and regulation interact in Chile \n The importance of knowledge exchange a
nd the need for cooperation through joint\nprojects in the region. \n \n\n
This webinar aims to provide regulatory and standardization context that
initially motived\nthe cooperation between InDiCo Global and the Pontifici
a Universidad Católica de Chile. It\nwill be particularly useful for thos
e looking to understand the latest regulatory changes in\nChile in the are
as of Data Protection\, Cybersecurity\, and Fintech\, as well as the impor
tance\nof regional cooperation on standards. \n
