DESCRIPTION: The Spanking Goddess \n\n An evening with Clare Murphy\, story
 -teller \n\n Clare Murphy\, Storyteller\, Writer &amp\; Speaker has been t
elling stories for 20 years in over 20 countries. From London to Singapore
she has played the Globe\, Derry Playhouse\, Soho and the National Theatr
e London and festivals including Electric Picnic\, Cape Clear Storytelling
Festival\, Cheltenham Literature Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. \n\n Clar
e is currently working on the finishing touches to her book The Spanking G
oddess and Other Discarded Tales with New Island Books\, out in all bookst
ores March 2027. \n\n \nThe Spanking Goddess \n\n Clare brings the wild w
omen of myth back into the light\, telling the myths you've never heard be
fore (and may never again).\nDiscover a shapeshifter spanking her opponent
s\, a queen balancing on the point of a spear\, a goddess caught in a face
-off with death and heroes defeated by mother-daughter warriors.\nWitness
the first ever divorce... and the woman won! \n\n Expect wicked tales of b
 adass deities\, feral fighters\, unorthodox sex\, hairy bodies\, mastery\,
and goddess-on-goddess battles – not for the faint-hearted and definite
ly for grown-ups.*\nThis performance contains descriptions of sex\, bodies
\, sexual threat and death within mythic narrative\, archetype and metapho
r - NOT for children. 16+ \n\n This is a two part stage show with a short
intermission in the middle. \n\n Quotes on Spanking Goddess:\nThis show is
a superbly crafted and often deliciously naughty example of storytelling
at its very best. Catch it if you can. \n\n Stage Talk Magazine \n\n ★
 ★★★☆ Mike Whitton\, 5 March 2025 \n\n Murphy’s charming and expr
essive delivery of these cheeky stories resonated strongly with the audien
ce. \n\n I left the show feeling both entertained and inspired \n\n Bristo
 l 24/7 \n\n Mar 10\, 2025 \n\n Her words and humour\, as well as sheer pas
sion in the stories carried the performance\, along with her non-stop move
ment. \n\n I very much look forward to discovering more stories the world
has been deprived of now\, with Murphy opening a whole world of empowered\
 , feral and unapologetic women. \n\n *The National* \n\n *5/5* \n\n ------
