 o Keith Jarrett played in Köln\, Germany – a live recording of which be
 came the best-selling solo jazz album of all time\, with over four million
  sales worldwide. To celebrate The Köln Concert’s 50th anniversary\, lo
 cal keyboard maestro Scott Flanigan performs a piano tribute. As with Jarr
 ett’s seminal performance\, you can expect passionate improvisations ins
 pired by the mood and the moment.  \n\n That the concert got off to the wo
 rst possible start helps explain its legendary status. The notoriously per
 fectionist Jarrett had asked for a grand piano. However\, the organisers m
 istakenly ordered a baby grand that was in poor condition. Moreover\, Jarr
 ett arrived exhausted from an epic drive and suffering back pains. On seei
 ng the baby grand he initially refused to play but was eventually persuade
 d. Despite or perhaps because of so many difficulties\, he gave the perfor
 mance of a lifetime.  \n\n Hopefully The Cooler and our (cough) baby grand
  will be a better experience for Scott. \n
