 music. Tipperary-born Joe O’Callaghan is a genuine force in Irish jazz g
 uitar\, with extended tasteful lines\, contemporary chord shapes and an in
 stinct for rocking out when the need arises. Japanese-born and Irish-based
  pianist Izumi Kimura performs across classical\, contemporary\, jazz\, an
 d improvised music\, with “a combination of feral creativity and technic
 al virtuosity to the stage that belies her calm demeanour\,” [Irish Time
 s]. Bassist Derek Whyte is involved in many of the Dublin Jazz scene's mor
 e experimental Jazz groups\, including ReDiviDeR\, Fuzzy Logic and The Tro
 upe\, and plays consistently with leading jazz musicians across Ireland an
 d in the U.K. As a trio\, they play original music with influences from ja
 zz\, classical and rock music.  \n\n Playing together for many years\, the
  trio released their debut album 'The Silent Tree' in 2020. The Irish Time
