  workshops with children in various settings. These songs are designed to 
 introduce children—and their grown-ups—to the magic of improvisation\,
  the world of jazz\, and the art of creative songwriting. \n\n Together wi
 th Ríona and her musician friends\, participants can participate in makin
 g improvised music\, creating movement\, pictures\, and sounds that they l
 ike for Ríona and the band to improvise around. \n\n Ríona has a wealth 
 of experience making music with and for children. She is the musical direc
 tor and lead performer of The National Concert Hall’s Echo band\, which 
 has been performing sold-out shows for families and schools for a decade.
