  Trio reinvent the spontaneous. Traditional melodies weave in and out of c
 ompelling textures that foreground fiddle\, guitar and percussion with tra
 nscendental electronics\; suspending elements of collective free improvisa
 tion with proper seisiún style playfulness. \n\n Córas Trio are part of 
 a new creative wave of musicians based in Belfast exploring how traditiona
 l music relates to the experience of the 21st century. Challenging ideas o
 f cultural purism\, they sweep the lines of contemporary musical practice\
 , unafraid and unapologetic in their exploration of new ideas. \n\n Since 
 emerging on the scene\, they have supported experimental folk heavyweights
  Aidan O’Rourke &amp\; Brìghde Chaimbeul\, as well as Joshua Burnside. 
 Their music has featured at the ‘IF 2022’ improvisation festival in Ca
 nada alongside Evelyn Glennie and William Parker\; the London Jazz Festiva
 l (2023)\; the Horizons stage at WOMEX (2024)\; the Eurojazz Festival (202
 5)\; and Other Voices (2025) in Dingle\, Ireland. \n\n This concert will b
 e one set of approx 60-70 minutes.  \n
