DESCRIPTION: Objective of the class: \n\n Participants will learn how to de
 sign a Kanban system and initiate change with Kanban. They will learn the 
 basic concepts of flow\, pull\, and collaborative improvement.  \n\n Durin
 g this 2-day class\, each attendee will: \n\n -How to identify and address
  bottlenecks \n-How to work with shifting priorities \n-How to deal with i
 nterrupt work and multi-tasking \n-How to deal with important but not time
 -critical work \n-How to avoid having work pile up in one place (or time) 
 while there is a lack of work in another place \n-How to create flow in th
 e work\, the information to perform the work\, and the teams that do the w
 ork  \n\n Who should attend? \n\n This 2-day Foundations-level Kanban trai
 ning class is for managers\, developers\, and anyone wanting to learn the 
 fundamentals of the Kanban Method. The class includes the use of a Kanban 
 simulation as well as exercises to design an actual Kanban system.  \n\n L
 earning Outcomes: \n\n The content of this course covers the following top
 ics\, presented in the form of intensive\, non-technical exercises organiz
 ed in small groups\, games\, classroom teaching and discussion:\n- Control
 ling Work in Progress (from push to pull)\n- Visualizing work (designing t
 he card wall) \n- Measuring and managing flow (control charts\, flow diagr
 ams) \n- Making policies explicit (classes of service) \n- Managing change
  and collaborative improvement \n\n Pre-requisites: \n\n Attendees should 
 have successfully completed the Introduction to Kanban or Team Kanban Prac
 titioner classes.  Attendees should become familiar with the Kanban Method
  and a conceptual overview of the full "alternative path to agility.” Co
 urse participants are encouraged to have read the book Kanban by David J. 
 Anderson or Kanban from the Inside by Mike Burrows.  \n\n Instructor: \n\n
  Led by Brendan Wovchko of HUGE I/O\, an Accredited Kanban Trainer\, succe
 ssful completion of this course will result in a certificate of completion
  issued by Lean Kanban University — recognized globally as the leading c
