   \n\n The HBAN All-island Business Angels Conference is designed to bring
  together new and existing business angels from across the island of Irela
 nd to learn\, network and collaborate. The theme of this years' conference

 … \n\n The event is Ireland’s only angel investment-focused all-island
  conference and is targeted at new angels who are looking for structured a
 nd quality deal flow. The event will also be of interest to those looking 
 to invest and create de-risked portfolios with likeminded investors throug
 h syndicates.  This year we have a stellar line-up of speakers at the conf

 n\n Speakers include \n\n \n  Marianne Hudson\, a serial investor and exec
 utive director of Angel Capital Association\, which is the world’s leadi
 ng professional association for angel investors with more than 14\,000 bus
 iness angel members and 260 investor syndicates\, is one of the keynote sp
 eakers. Drawing on her own experience as an investor and former director o
 f entrepreneurship at the Kauffman Foundation\, she will talk about the im
 portance of diversity for investors using data that shows diverse investme
 nt processes yield better returns. She will also discuss the latest trends
  in angel investing in the US market and ideas to help the Irish industry 
 and HBAN meet its goals over the next three to five years.  \n  Jimmy Mart
 in\, co-founder and CEO of AMCS\, the Irish company that provides software
  and technology for the waste\, recycling and resource industries\, will d
 iscuss return on investments for business angels and how new secondary mar
 kets are emerging that can facilitate this.  \n  Former BT Young Scientist
  of the Year and Forbes ‘30 under 30’ listee\, Shane Curran\, the 18-y
 ear-old tech entrepreneur who founded QCrypt\, a software platform to help
  companies manage how they process people's data securely\, will participa
 te in a panel discussion on how investors can engage younger entrepreneurs
  and how start-ups can engage younger investors.  \n  More speaker informa
 tion will be released here on the conference website  \n \n\n There will b
 e representatives from all 15 angel groups at the conference including 10 
 syndicates and 5 regional networks in operation across the island. \n\n An
 gel investing forms an important part of the start-up ecosystem in Ireland
 . Since HBAN was established in 2007\, HBAN angels have invested over €9
 0 million in start-ups on the island. These investments have leveraged a f
 urther €150 million from other public and private funds\, bringing the t
 otal invested to €240 million. \n\n The conference is open to non-HBAN m
 embers who want to see how the HBAN network works\, connect with HBAN ange
 ls and listen to pitches from high-potential start-ups. Tickets for the co

 est Northern Ireland\, HBAN’s service includes identifying high-potentia
 l start-ups and going through a process of vetting\, preparing and confirm
 ing these companies as investor-ready. These start-ups then go on to prese
 nt to potential investors at different HBAN-organised investor forums and
