 workshop for learning Git and GitHub. There will be snacks for hackin'\, l
 ots to learn\, and new friends to be made.  \n\n We'll have GitHub staff a
 nd other open source  mentors to lend a hand as attendees make their way t
 hrough the workshop. \n\n Patchwork night is great for people new to Git a
 nd GitHub. By the end of the night you'll have created your first open sou
 rce project\, merged a pull request\, and will have green squares on your 
 contribution graph! \n\n If you want to help mentor future open sourcers\,
  this night is for you\, too. You and GitHub staff members will help atten
 dees with questions throughout the workshop. \n\n @rachelmyers will give a
  talk on becoming an engineer and a @kmariano will complete the evening wi
 th a lightning talk on Meshblu\, an open source project. @mtodd\, @sundayk
 ofax\, @eanakashima\, @jesseplusplus\, @alysonla\, @lynnwallenstein\, @kcs
 hearon\, @jhosman and mentors will all be on hand to answer your queries!
