DESCRIPTION: Filmmakers Lab holds regular monthly social meet-up sessions a
 t Exeter Phoenix\, the multi-arts venue in the heart of Devon. We offer a 
 regular programme of creative workshops\, guest speakers\, masterclasses a
 nd film screenings for members top expand their knowledge and practice. Th
 ere are also opportunities for members to discuss and explore ideas around
  their current filmmaking project in a constructively supportive environme
 nt. \n\n The first Lab session is an opportunity to outline what the aims 
 are for the Lab\, what we have initially planned\, and a chance to hear fr
 om filmmakers what they feel they would benefit from. \n\n Come along to f
 ind out more and join us in a celebratory drink to kick off the scheme. Th
 ere will be plenty of opportunity to network with other attendees and ours
 elves. \n\n One aspect of the Lab that we strongly want to encourage is an
  environment where filmmakers feel comfortable discussing their work\, and
  help support one another as projects are explored and developed. \n\n To 
 that end\, for our first session is a ‘Show &amp\; Tell’ - where atten
 dees are invited to either bring along an object\, an image\, something re
 ad or experienced that was an inspiration for the project they are current
 ly working on. Or it could be a scene from a short film on a data stick\, 
 if they want to share an example of their work to those present. But it ca
 n be as simple as saying a little about yourself &amp\; your background to
  date. \n
