DESCRIPTION: The ticket grants you access to Circle\, an exhibition by one 
 of the most distinguished Croatian sculptors of his generation\, Hrvoje Du
 mančić\, in the historic Bokar Fortress. The exhibition is organised in 
 collaboration with and supported by the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik An
 tiquities. \n\n From his earliest student years\, the horse has remained t
 he central axis of his artistic practice. For Dumančić\, the horse is no
 t a depiction of an animal but a medium through which he reflects on his o
 wn life\, emotions\, memories\, and humanity’s relationship with nature.
  His sculptures transcend traditional equestrian iconography\, transformin
 g the horse into a poetic vessel of personal and collective memory. In his
  recent cycle Circle\, Dumančić expands his artistic language beyond the
  figurative representation of the horse towards archetypal symbols. The ci
 rcle emerges as a sign of life\, the sun\, time and perpetual change\, whi
 le the horse remains a lasting connection between personal experience and 
 universal human memory. Through reliefs\, sculptures and spatial intervent
 ions\, he explores the relationship between transience and permanence\, ma
 tter and light\, creating works that belong simultaneously to the contempo
 rary moment and to an ancient symbolic heritage. \n\n The exhibition is op
 en daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. \n\n Please note: We kindly ask all v
 isitors to respect the space and the artworks. Food\, drinks\, large bags\
 , pets\, loud behaviour\, and touching the artworks are not permitted. Chi

  Vam pristup izložbi Krug jednog od najprepoznatljivijih hrvatskih kipara
  svoje generacije\, Hrvoja Dumančića u tvrđavi Bokar. Izložba je organ
 izirana u suradnji i uz potporu Društva prijatelja dubrovačke starine. \
 n\n Od ranih studentskih dana konj ostaje stalnom osi Dumančićeva stvara
 laštva. Za njega konj nije prikaz životinje\, nego medij kroz koji promi
 šlja vlastiti život\, emocije\, sjećanja i odnos čovjeka prema prirodi
 . Njegove skulpture nadilaze tradicionalnu konjaničku ikonografiju i konj
 a pretvaraju u poetskog nositelja osobnog i kolektivnog pamćenja. U novij
 em ciklusu Krug Dumančić proširuje svoj likovni jezik izvan figuracije 
 konja prema arhetipskim simbolima. Krug se pojavljuje kao znak života\, s
 unca\, vremena i neprekidne mijene\, dok konj ostaje trajna poveznica izme
 đu osobnog iskustva i univerzalnog ljudskog pamćenja. Kroz reljefe\, sku
 lpture i prostorne intervencije istražuje odnos prolaznosti i trajanja\, 
 materije i svjetla\, stvarajući djela koja istodobno pripadaju suvremenom
  trenutku i drevnom simboličkom nasljeđu. \n\n Izložba je otvorena svak
 im danom od 8 do 19 sati. \n\n Napomena: Ljubazno molimo posjetitelje da p
 oštuju prostor i umjetnička djela. Hrana\, piće\, velike torbe\, kućni
  ljubimci\, buka i dodirivanje izloženih radova nisu dopušteni. Djeca mo
 raju biti pod stalnim nadzorom. \n
