DESCRIPTION: \n\n The Royal Commission’s Christmas Lecture - Hillfort and
  Community 2023: The Pendinas Project \n\n by Luke Jenkins and Beca Davies
  \n\n \n\n The exciting Pendinas Community Archaeology Project was begun i
 n Spring 2023 by Dyfed Archaeological Trust in partnership with the Royal 
 Commission. This project seeks to better understand and protect the archae
 ology and wildlife of the hillfort. \n\n There have been two exploratory e
 xcavations of the site this year led by Dyfed Archaeological Trust working
  with a large team of volunteers and a full programme of community engagem
 ent led by the Royal Commission. \n\n Luke Jenkins\, DAT archaeologist\, a
 nd Beca Davies\, the Commission’s Community Outreach Officer Pendinas Pr
 oject\, have been fully involved with the project from the beginning and a
 re well-placed and looking forward to giving an overview of the project so
  far\, at this year’s Christmas Lecture. \n\n This project is supported 
 by the local community and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund an
 d Cadw. \n\n Thursday\, 5pm\, 7 December 2023. \n\n This lecture will be h
 eld live in the Drwm\, National Library of Wales\, and online via Zoom. Th
 e National Library’s Christmas Shopping Evening will be held from 5pm on
