DESCRIPTION: Cardiff University’s Data Science Academy (DSA) is hosting a
 n in-person session for companies and external organisations to learn more
  about suggesting a dissertation topic for our students to work on. \n\n A
 fter completing the taught part of their study\, DSA students work on a tw
 elve-week dissertation over the summer to complete their degree. To help e
 xpose our students to the experience of working with industry many of thes
 e dissertation-subjects are sourced from external partners in industry and
  research institutes. \n\n There are many benefits to proposing a student 
 dissertation topic. For example\, if you have data you want to use to answ
 er a research problem\, our data analytics students can use their skills t
 o help you. We also have students studying AI\, cyber security\, data and 
 journalism\, and natural language processing\, so there are several discip
 lines you could engage in. This can also help you expand your network\, al
 low you to work as collaborative supervisor on a dissertation and ‘talen
 t spot’ students to work with following their graduation. \n\n Please re
