DESCRIPTION: Now in its TENTH year\, uncodebar\, the codebar unconference i
s back! Our annual one-day conference that encourages the codebar communit
y to come together\, share knowledge\, and strengthen the community that s
upports our workshops.\n \n\n What is an unconference? \n\n \nAn unconfe
rence is a "loosely structured open space event emphasising the informal e
xchange of information and ideas between participants". \n\n At an unconfe
 rence: \n\n \n no topics predetermined\, \n no keynote speakers invited\,
\n no panels or working groups arranged \n \n\n Instead\, the event lives
and dies through the participation of its attendees. You propose talks\, w
orkshops\, and panels and decide what topics will be discussed. Then peopl
e convene in separate breakout sessions. In other words\, an unconference
has no agenda until the morning when participants create it.\n \n\n Who c
an lead a session? \n\n \nThis is an opportunity for anyone to propose an
d run a session on the day - in the supportive environment that codebar is
known for. \n\n We're counting on people attending to make some amazing s
essions happen. Of course\, not everyone needs to prepare something but we
encourage all levels to think about the topics/sessions they are interest
ed in. We welcome sessions from first-time and seasoned speakers\, there i
s no better setting to practice that talk you had in mind for a while. \n\
n This is a 100% participant-driven event: we're only going to suggest tim
e slots and spaces\, and in the morning\, you'll pitch sessions and snag s
lots on the schedule.\n \n\n What kinds of sessions are suitable? \n\n \
nAs this is an unconference\, you can decide what type of session you want
to run: workshops\, talks\, discussions\, etc are all welcome. Topics can
include anything related to web development\, software development\, game
  development\, learning\, mentoring\, community\, and many more. This even
t is what you make of it -- the organisers will be present to make sure yo
u're engaged and entertained. \n\n If you have an idea for a session but n
eed help developing it please drop us an email hello@codebar.io\, we'd lov
e to help you develop your idea further. \n\n All attendees are encouraged
to join the #uncodebar channel in our Slack to discuss potential sessions
and session ideas. We will also be using the channel to ask you questions
and post updates prior to the event and on the day. \n
