DESCRIPTION: Exploring Companies data with Companies House API  and Python 
 -  Rory Gianni \n\n A Python-based introduction to the Companies House API
 . This covers making requests and trying to gather data while overcoming t
 he idiosyncrasies of the CH API. \n\n Rory is a technology trainer and con
 sultant into all things creative and civic tech. Rory is co-founder of con
 versational AI company\, inChat (https://inchat.design).  He recently star
 ted a blog and channel called Creating with Data which covers various data
  and visualisation topics. \n\n The talk will be followed by a challenge w
 hich attendees can work on in small groups or solo. \n\n If you don’t al
 ready have Python set up\, we can help you with that too. Coding in pairs 
 or small groups (especially mixing beginner and more experiences coders) i
 s strongly encouraged\, though you can also code solo. \n\n This event is 
 orgnanised by a charity - Code The City. CTC suggests a small donation to 
 help with charity admin costs\, but if this is a barrier please just chang
 e the ticket price to what you can afford. \n\n We're now back to planning
  physical events backed up with an online option. \n\n If you select a phy
 sical ticket and it happens that we can not meet physically you will have 
 to attend the Zoom session. If you choose a physical ticket and it goes ah
 ead you will have to comply with any conditions of attendance (eg masks or
  social distancing) that the venue operators demand at the time. \n\n Thos
 e attending the physical space meetup should attend at 6pm for pizza and d
 rinks. The coding session (for online attendees) will be from 6.30pm. Door
 s will be locked from 6.30pm. \n\n **If tickets are sold out please do not
  attend as you will be refused entry without a ticket. ** \n\n Our booking
  system is provided by Tito. Their platform is integrated with payment pro
 cessing by Stripe \n
