DESCRIPTION: Analysing Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) usin
 g Power BI -  Pauline Cairns\n\nOften the reason for making improvements t
 o an existing building is to improve its energy efficiency. To aid with me
 asuring energy efficiency a property is assigned a band via an Energy Perf
 ormance Certificate (EPC). The intention of energy efficiency improvements
  is to improve the EPC band of the property.\n\nWhat can be discovered fro
 m analysing EPC data relating to the North East of Scotland? Should EPC da
 ta be analysed on a stand-alone basis or can more be insights be found thr
 ough combining this data with other datasets? Can trends\, outliers or oth
 er information be observed through displaying the data in diagrams to the 
 end user? These are questions to be explored in the July Data Meetup talk.
  \n\n  \nBio: Pauline Cairns provides freelance data analysis services thr
 ough her company Data For Knowledge Limited. Pauline uses Power BI and R P
 rogramming to provide dashboards and reports for monitoring\, comparison\,
  or transparency purposes. She holds a MSc in IT with Business Intelligenc
 e (Distinction) from RGU and is a Microsoft Certified Data Analyst. \n\n -

 \nThis event is orgnanised by a charity - Code The City. We are grateful t
 o ScotlandIS and Codebase for their generous sponsorship of the Aberdeen D
 ata Meetups from June 2023 onwards. \n\n CTC suggests a small donation to 
 help with charity admin costs\, but if this is a barrier please just chang
 e the ticket price to what you can afford. \n\n We're now back to running 
 physical events (with an online option via Zoom). \n\n If you select a phy
 sical ticket and it happens that we can not meet physically you will have 
 to attend the Zoom session. If you choose a physical ticket and it goes ah
 ead you will have to comply with any conditions of attendance (eg masks or
  social distancing) that the venue operators demand at the time. \n\n Thos
 e attending the physical space meetup should attend at 6pm for pizza and d
 rinks. The talk will be from 6.30pm. Doors will be locked from 6.30pm. \n\
 n **If tickets are sold out please do not attend as you will be refused en
 try without a ticket. ** \n\n Our booking system is provided by Tito. Thei
 r platform is integrated with payment processing by Stripe \n
