DESCRIPTION:Motion design is becoming a core skill for interaction designer
 s. Across both web and native products\, teams are realizing the power of
motion to engage\, delight\, and communicate.\n\nDozens of new tools are e
merging to support motion work\, but you already have one that’s both si
mple and surprisingly powerful: Keynote.\n\nIn this workshop\, you’ll le
arn the basics of motion design theory\, from Disney’s classic 12 princi
ples\, through the physics of motion\, to coordinating and choreographing
your motion patterns across an entire product experience.\n\nYou’ll then
practice bringing these fundamentals into your own work using Keynote as
a prototyping platform. Exercises throughout the session will cover how to
scale\, fade\, resize\, and rotate on the fly\, how to transition seamles
sly between two states\, and how to create motion curves that go beyond dr
ab linear motion to feel more engaging and natural.\n\nYou’ll emerge wit
h the ability to bring your designs to life\, and start providing motion p
rototypes that excite your colleagues and improve your products.\n\nPlease
  note: if you’re attending this session\, you should bring… a laptop w
ith Keynote installed on it (but don’t worry\, it’s not essential —
you’ll still be able to follow along without!)

DESCRIPTION:The role of design with large organizations is expanding\, spre
ading across product teams and influencing decision-making at higher and h
igher levels. This scale makes it increasingly challenging to align design
ers and product teams to deliver cohesive\, consistent experiences across
a customer journey.\n\nA design system is a framework of practices that br
ing designers and products together. It is a platform to identify\, decide
on\, and document what to share\, whether a visual style\, design pattern
 s\, front-end UI components\, and practices like accessibility\, research\
, content strategy.\n\nThis workshop exposes you to the broad range of tho
se considerations – the kinds of parts\, products\, people and practices
involved—and equips you with tools and activities to start\, spread\, a
 nd sustain a system yourself.
