 Event\, ‘Clean Air\, Healthier Lives’\, will take place in person in
  the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel on Thursday 20th November 2025. The confer
 ence is targeted at Local Authorities\, Regulators\, Academics\, Air con
 sultants and advocates for cleaner air. All presentations will be recorded
  and will be shared via our EPA YouTube channel shortly after the event.  
 \n\n While Ireland currently meets EU air quality standards\, we are proje
 cted to fall short of the stricter air quality standards set for 2030 unde
 r the new Ambient Air Quality Directive. We need to do more to protect cle
 an air in towns\, villages and cities across Ireland.  \n\n Localised poll
 utants of concern\, such as a particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide have
  been identified across the country. According to European Environment Age
 ncy estimates\, up to 1\,700 premature deaths per year in Ireland are due 
 to air pollution. Ireland set ambitious air quality targets in our Clean
  Air Strategy in 2023 and\, in addition\, the Department of Climate\, Ener
 gy and the Environment is close to transposing the New Ambient Air Directi
 ve that aligns more closely with the WHO Air Quality Guidelines.  \n\n Thi
 s in-person event is an opportunity for those interested in improving
  air quality to learn more\, from a range of speakers\, about new de
 velopments including air quality policy\, legislative changes\, the chal
 lenges ahead\, the air quality action and air quality research findings\, 
 demonstrating impact on our Health.  \n\n  \nSpeakers include representa
 tives from the European Commission\, Department of Climate\, Energy and En
 vironment\, the Environmental Protection Agency (DCEE)\, Economic and Soci
 al Research Institute (ESRI)\, Asthma Ireland\, The Heart Foundation\, amo
 ngst others.  \n\n \n\n CPD \n\n The event is CPD Approved by Engineers Ir
 eland. Attendees will have the option to request a CPD certificate during 
 registration. Certificates will be distributed by email following the even
 t. \n\n \n\n Cancellation:  \n\n If your circumstances change and you can

 n advance will help prevent food waste and it will also allow the opportun
