 a Hogan BL \n\n \n\n The volume of jurisprudence emanating from the Irish 
 Courts has increased significantly in recent years\, but perhaps none more
  so than in the area of planning and environmental law. In addition to the
  specialist Planning and Environment Court\, which has three permanent jud
 ges appointed to it\, cases which raises issues of planning and environmen
 tal law regularly appear in the appellate and European Courts. \n\n Agains
 t this background\, it is difficult for practitioners to keep up to date w
 ith the most recent developments in the case law from both the Irish and E
 uropean Courts. This PELGBA CPD aims to provide practitioners with an over
 view of some of the most recent and relevant decisions of the Irish and Eu
 ropean Courts in the area of planning and environmental law. \n\n At the e
 nd of the presentation\, participants will\; \n\n - Have furthered their k
 nowledge about recent decisions of the Irish Courts in planning and enviro
 nmental law.  \n\n - Gained a better understanding of judgments from the E
 uropean Court of Justice and how these judgments may impact the interpreta
 tion of EU law obligations in Irish law. \n\n The event will be followed b
 y a drinks reception in the Sheds. \n\n \n\n This event is open to all \n\
