 s \n\n \n\n Our final CPD for 2024 will look at a number of areas which wi
 ll be of interest and of use to practitioners across international protect
 ion\, immigration and citizenship law. \n\n As we see increasingly diverse
  immigration and citizenship histories and statuses for individual members
  of the same family\, can we confidently spot the significance or otherwis
 e of one family member's immigration and citizenship history for another f
 amily member? The CPD will seek to assist in identifying occasions in whic
 h differences in advice may be occasioned by the point in time or the mann
 er in which a relevant family member's status was acquired\, and whether t
 he person seeking to acquire citizenship was themselves born in Ireland\, 
 and the extent of their own residence in Ireland. \n\n Practitioners will 
 also be provided with an overview of the cessation and revocation of inter
 national protection\, as well as a deep dive on recent Court of Appeal dec
 isions in relation to ‘long stay’ visa’s \n\n At the end of the even
 t participants will: \n\n \n Understand the key elements of citizenship fo
 r family members of Irish citizens. \n Recognise key aspects of revocation
  and cessation of international protection. \n Be up to date in relation t
 o recent Court of Appeal decisions in relation to visas. \n \n\n \n\n Acce
