 n\n Litigation Funding in the UK \n\n \n\n This event will examine recent 
 developments in litigation funding in Ireland\, the EU and the UK. In part
 icular\, in light of the important judgment of the CJEU in Case C-253/23 A
 SG2 of 28 January 2025 regarding the use of assignment of claims in compet
 ition law proceedings. \n\n The event will be particularly topical given t
 he Law Reform Commission’s ongoing consideration of third-party litigati
 on funding. The UK perspective will be particularly interesting\, given th
 e various mechanisms for litigation funding available in that jurisdiction
 . \n\n At the end of the presentation\, participants will: \n\n  \n* Under
 stand the recent case law in Ireland on litigation funding \n\n  \n* Under
 stand the recent judgment of the CJEU in Case C-253/23 \n\n  \n* Understan
 d the options for litigation funding\, in particular\, in light of the UK
