 n\n Hannah Godfrey BL \n\n \n\n This briefing will provide an overview of 
 the practical issues for practitioners when either a court indicates that 
 it intends to make a reference to the Court of Justice for preliminary rul
 ing pursuant to Article 267 TFEU or a practitioner is required to make sub
 missions in favour or against a reference being made. \n\n There will also
  be a round-up of recent interesting reference from the Irish courts and a
 n update on the amendments to the Statute of the CJEU\, which now allow re
 ference to be heard by the General Court where they concern certain specia
 lised areas of law. \n\n At the end of the presentation\, participants wil
 l: \n\n  \n* Have a better understanding of the issues that arise for prac
 titioners when a reference is or may be made \n\n  \n* Be up to date in re
 spect of significant reference from the Irish courts\; \n\n  \n* Be up to 
 date in respect of the new procedure allowing the General Court to hear ce
 rtain references \n\n  \n  \n\n \n\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nAccessibility Re
