 The Bar of Ireland is delighted to be hosting the Justice Week Intervarsit
 y Debate for the second year running.  \n\n This year’s student particip
 ants will be representing the Law Schools of UCD\, UCC\, UL\, MU\, NUIG\, 
 DCU\, TCD and TU Dublin. \n\n Each Law School has nominated one student ea
 ch\, and the nominees have been organised into two teams of four. \n\n The
 y will appear before a prestigious panel of judges to debate the motion 
 “This House believes that the right to offend\, shock and disturb is nec
 essary in a democratic society”. \n\n \n\n Judging Panel: \n\n \n The Ho
 n. Mr. Justice Seamus Noonan \n The Hon. Mr. Justice Maurice Collins \n Th
 e Hon. Ms. Justice Nuala Butler \n Maura McNally SC\, Chair of the Council

 lcome! \n\n \n\n About Justice Week \n\n ‘Justice Week’ is an annual c
 ampaign of the legal professions across the four jurisdictions (Ireland\, 
 Northern Ireland\, Scotland\, England and Wales) and its purpose is to inc
 rease support\, understanding and awareness of the rule of law and justice
  among young people. The annual intervarsity debate is a wonderful opportu
 nity for law students\, particularly those who may be considering a career
  as a barrister\, to hone their advocacy skills before a prestigious panel
  of judges\; and to meet and collaborate with students of other Law School
