DESCRIPTION: The Bar of Ireland's Chair’s Conference is an opportunity fo
 r practitioners\, academics\, policy makers and the wider public to conver
 ge on the most defining issue impacting on legal systems and democratic in
 stitutions – the rule of law\, the protection of human rights against em
 erging political and societal forces. \n\n The participation of a diverse 
 legal community is a key response to how these challenges are resolved. As
  such\, this year's Chairs Conference will also focus on the role\, partic
 ipation and experiences of female lawyers and judges. \n\n All three confe
 rence days will be hosted by Maura McNally SC\, Chair of the Council of Th
